Newbie Needs Electrical Help

Hello,im new to this forum.I have a 94' Jeep Cherokee with 196,000 miles.Runs great and all, when i first got it, the stereo powered on,but the speakers didn't work, and all the window controls work. Then my father crossed the cables when jump starting it,all it did was blow the main alt. fuse,i changed it and all works fine now,but the stereo dosent power on at all,and only the driver side control panel works.I checked every fuse i could find, and there all fine.Is there any hidden fuses, or maybe a wire that could have been burned?Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

I wrote some threads on the power windows. There is also a sticky at the top.

The stereo is a separate issue. Take it out and test for power there.

Re: Newbie Needs Electrical Help

yeah, most of the xjs have a problem with the window lock getting stuck in the lock position. if you check out the sticky and do what is says about splicing the wires it will work great. i did it and havent had a problem since.
