steering wheel removal

i have an 02 cavalier that i want to put a aftermarket steering wheel on but i don't know how to disable and remove the airbags

can some one help me with this problem

how do i disable the air bags to remove the steering wheel

Your new replacement steering should have instructions on how to remove the old wheel and how to install the existing air bag on the new wheel.
Replacing the steering wheel without the airbag is against the law and will probably cancel your insurance.
