What do you call the clips that attach the window to the power window regulator
What do you call the clips that attach the window to the power window regulator / rail? I am looking for replacements but I can't seem to find them.
The driver side window in my 2001 Windstar came loose from the power window regulator / rail and the window turned sideways on me. I pulled the window out and took of the door panel and it looks like plastic clip (or whatever it is called) that connects the window to the metal rail broke off. It also looks like the window was only attached to the rail in one place. Is that normal? |

I would go to your local FORD dealership parts department.
They have a very good parts breakdown on their computer that will get you right to the part. I have not been able to locate any other parts breakdown that is anyplace near as detailed. One other thing that happened to my '96 front door windows.....on BOTH sides.....the rear most channel broke off at the spot welds that hold it to the small angle metal parts that you bolt to the door frame. They fell into the bottom of the inside of the door. They also sell these at your local FORD dealership parts department. I have a couple of pictures of inside the door posted in my pictures.
