Test drove the S2000 today!
Hmmmmmmmm, not sure!
Great gear change, so positive and precise, plus 6 speed! But reminds me of the Integra Type-R, very thrashy engine! And where does VTEC change the cams? I guess around 6 grand, but it wasn't as prominent as in my Prelude! Can't say the engine begged me to thrash it all the time! But what a handler! It is so sure footed, so solid and sharp! Thge brakes are perfect, the steering superb, perfectly weighted! But that hood looks awful from inside when it is up, a hardtop a neccessity for the UK! I think the real problem is the price! 1 year old and 6000 miles, £24,000! Skyline and EVO 6 to try next! |

Not got to that stage yet!
He wants to see my car for a trade in, so I can go back Tuesday. But I don't want to spend that much! |

VTEC engagement is 6000RPM. The reason why you don't feel as much jump when VTEC engage is because the powerline is more linear. It's not as big jump in torque and hp as Prelude H22A.

Yeah the power delivery is much smoother in F20C. One of the major item people notice is VTEC does not seem as big jump as other Honda cars.
Anyways people always comment on S2000 having lack of trunk. S2000 have more cubic inchs of trunk space than TT Roadster, Z3, and SLK. It is second place to the double trunk Boxter. Trunk space is easy problem since you can removed the wheel jack unit to another location. The trunk space would increase even more. The spare tire is also removeable. Overall the car is not painful to live with for everyday uses. It is not as striped as ITR for example. |

The plastic rear window is a pain to live with during winter. But for 2002 Honda has already fix that problem. Also you have to crank up the volume if you put the top down. Also becareful of people stealing parts of the car is a major problem. I already have a couple items replaced.

Yes finally although it's smaller than plastic rear window. So the blindspot might be even harder to see now.

Man, I gotta move out of the US. 'Whole bunch of other countries just have way better cars than us. I can't wait until the Skyline, the EVO, and other such 'dream cars' make their way to the US of A.
