My F250 Will not start
I have a problem with my 1993 F250, 5.8. I have changed the fuel filter and the Air Idler Control Valve and it still will not start until I spray starting fluid in the throttle body. When it starts it idles at a very high rpm until I unplug the air idler control valve then it runs good. can anyone help?

Re: My F250 Will not start
Check your fuel pressure running and off.

Re: My F250 Will not start
On or near your fuel injector fuel rail there is usually a screw on valve (looks similar to a tire valve (sort of)) where you can attach a fuel pressure gauge to.
Get a manual for your truck, it should show you where this is and what the pressure should be. The pressure is usually pretty high, don't poke the valve with a screw driver it will spray gas everywhere. |

Re: My F250 Will not start
Either the pump is bad or the pressure regulator.

Re: My F250 Will not start
(As was said in the previous post) either the pump is going bad, the regulator is going bad, or your fuel filter is clogged. One other possibility is that you have one or more fuel injectors that have gone bad and are leaking fuel pressure right into the cylinders but I highly doubt that is the problem.
