Re: looking for a 96 2.4L

I have a 2.4 with a bad rod bearing. I can rebuild the engine for you if you want but. If you want to go with all oem parts I would go to a gm certified motor and get the warrenty. new it would be about 1700 from http://www.crateenginedepot.com/cate...&Category_ID=3& Or I have a rebuilt engine with new wesico 40 over 10.5-1 cr pistons 1 mm over sized valves secrete cams jbp nuetral balance shaft bull nosed crank eagle rods polished intake ports and polished and ported exhaust on the head mantapart stiffend sports springs. I have it in a 98 grand am it only has 190 miles on the engine so far. still breaking it in. If you want to put it in your car all you need to change is the oil pan, and maybe put a flywheel and cluth on. slightly decked block and I had the head decked a tad bit. It runs perfectly. Since its an automatic I wont see all the performance that its capable of. It feels like it has a lot of torque. If your interested I want at least 4500. I have more into it with all the machine work and labor.
