Is this worth it?

Hi all- i am looking at a '92 Nissan Pathfinder XE 4x4 4 speed auto w/ OD, cruise...etc. It has 144,500 miles and it is in good shape with a couple of rust spots. The guy wants 900. I offered him 800 and to sleep on it. I have researched the value of this vehicle and it comes back at the lowest 1261. Can anybody tell me if this is a good deal or not? Oh yeah it has am/fm CD too

Re: Is this worth it?

Yeah, pretty good deal. These are tough trucks overall, I might have been driving a newer one of these if I never got a Blazer. Rusting is a common thing for these trucks around that time. Keep the frame clean as recommended by Nissan. Also take care of the current rust spots if possibe or rustproof it. Other things are weak studs on the exhaust manifold, timing belt needs to be replaced at specific intervals and no less (like most vehicles with them), and may want to get an external tranny cooler. The stock one seems to clog easily or has some issue.
