Re: cam sensor

It sets the timing for firing the spark plugs and firing the fuel injectors. What is wrong with it ?

I was driving and all of a sudden my car stalls out and loses power. I pull over, my check engine light comes on. I then put the car in park turn the ignition off and try to restart it. It restarts but with the engine light still on.I drive it home and the next morning I start the car and the check engine light is now out. I got a free check engine light dignostic at auto part store and it said something about the cam sensor. The car seems rides okay at this time, however will this continue to happen or will this harm my engine if I don't get it replaced at this time. AT this time my finances are kind of short.

Re: cam sensor

How long it will last is a guess. You should have it tested and replaced if bad. It might just be a loose connection or a bad sensor. The next time it could die and not restart.
