98 stalling-different from the others i've read
Ok. I had my check engine light come on about a week ago. I took it in, and they said it was a miscellaneous code. They changed my oil, which apparently had too much, but b/c my dipstick had broken, I couldn't check. The check engine light went off. Initially I brought it in because it was also stalling out. My catch was that it would only stall out when I was already breaking. The part that confuses the guy at the car place is that the brake sticks when it does this. I was also told that my alternator and timing belt need to be replaced as well. Neither of these seem to explain why my car will still stall. It ran smoothly for a week, but then started up again. It did it three days in a row, but hasn't done it for the past two. I can turn the car off and start it up and it runs like usual. Any ideas? If you need more info just let me know. Thanks.

Misc code?! Thats a new one.
They obviously dont know what they are talking about. If the engine light comes back on, go to a different place and get the code.
