zc swap: w/teg axles, what else...?
Original post: I was wondering if a halfshaft is the same as an intermediate shaft.
do they serve the same purpose just under different names? i have my 89 tegra axles for my swap with a ZC tranny, and i need an intermediate shaft, however my fren has a halfshaft he's giving me, and I can never get in touch with him to ask if its the same. Thanks fer yer help! ![]() New question: From HASport it sez i need an intermediate shaft to hook up to the axles...do i need halfshafts too? This isht don't make sense.

no they are not the same thing, close though. Normaly a stock motored 4thgen has 1 long and one short half shaft. The integras have 2 equal length half shafts so on the left side it has an intermediate shaft that is bolted to the motor to connect the half shaft to the transmission. From the sound of it, you need a 89 integra intermediate shaft... hope this helps....
