A/C: Air conditioning stopped working

Hi all,
my 2000 Rodeo V6 was all fine until labor day when the AC stopped working completely. Even when turned on full power at the lowest setting, only hot air would come out. Then, this morning when making a left turn, I heard a "click" and the AC worked again. After turning off the engine and turning it back on, once again it did not work again.
Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I suspect a lose/burned wire or connector maybe? Where could I start looking? Thanks all!!!
