About to do the big 3...
before I do it i want to ask some questions so I am sure of what I will be doing..
1) The wires i need to upgrade are: -battery ground to chassis -battery positive to alternator positive -engine block to chassis correct? 2) My system is only going to be running a 1000 watt memphis amp, would I be good to just run 4 gauge for the big 3, or just run 0 gauge? 3) Is anybody familiar with a 1994 honda accord? if soo -where is the engine block to chassis wire? -is there a stock fuse from the alternator to battery? (i think i see a fuse box but im not sure) -whats the best way to run the wire from the alternator to the battery? |

![]() Red- The red arrow goes from the battery ground to where the red X is Green- This is a bolt on the engine, can I run a wire from the arrow to the green X, and that be the engine block to chassis? Purple- The purple arrow is the battery positive to the alternator, the wire goes into the purple X, is this a fuse box? |

Re: About to do the big 3...
you can run ground wires pretty much wherever you want.
the fuse block is that black box on the EXTREME top let o that pic. The stock alt is used or 100 amps. The big 3 are in addition to the wires you already have, not a replacement. |

Re: About to do the big 3...
Green should be ok as long as you sand it down to bare, shiny metal.
Your Batt. positive goes to the ALT postive terminal, look on your ALT to find a rubber boot, pull it back and youll see a bolt and cable, thats where you add the cable to. Recommend 1/0 gauge if possible, if not 4ga will work. Your car might not have a stock chassis to block wire. Just find a bolt on the block and put it there.
