Noise (bearing?) only when turning left

I have a 2001 Malibu V6 with 27k miles on it. It just starting making a slight squeal noise as soon as I turn the wheel left. When I straighten the wheel, the noise goes away. No noise at all turning right. What would be the probable problem with a Malibu with low mileage showing that symptom? Thank you.

Update: This morning my wife called from work that brakes were making a grinding noise. I went and picked up the car, what a mess the left front brake was. The rotor, which was still the original composite crap, basically disintegrated. I went to my local Firestone and had new rotors/pads/fluid and the brakes work fantastic now. Also, the noise is gone now. Everything is quiet. I was expecting to replace the original rotors but did not realize that they would self destruct so quickly. Anyway, I'm glad to have real rotors on the car now.
