02 S10 oil filter

Where can I find the oil filter on my truck? It's the 4.3L motor. Also, where is the PCV valve located? When I bought it I got the service record and it showed that it had new brakes at 30,000. it now has 65,000 on it and I would like to know if maybe replacing them again at 75,00 would be OK since they seem to be fine as of now.

Thanks

Re: 02 S10 oil filter

the 4.3 has a remote oil filter. look under the front of the truck and you will see the access door in the plastic skid plate. the pcv valve is located on top of the drivers side valve cover near the firewall. as for the brakes its close to needing new ones.
