no heat in 2000 blazer

my 2000 blazer has no heat, however engine runs fine just had the fluid checked and my temperature guage is also fine, i heard that it is possible for the thermostat to get stuck in the open position which would cause this wonderingt if anyone had any instight to this situation

when you say the temp guage is fine.....does it come up to normal running temp?

in the mean time, turn on the a/c and turn the temp knob over to warm, or as far to the right as possible. this will give ya heat. ive the used the a/c for heat on my 95 S-10 since it was new, and it gives heat faster than the heater ever will.

All you need to do to flush the heater core is to remove both heater hoses and back flush the heater core using a garden hose (not too much pressure though). This is a pretty common problem. I just had to flush mine out yesterday. I would recommend buying a prestone flush and fill kit because the same thing is happening in your radiator. You can get them at the autoparts store. You guys also might want to go back and read a post on January of 2003 from bowtiebandit (heater core clogging). He had a lot of good information on the problem and how to fix it. He goes into a lot of detail that is pretty easy to follow.
