completely dead

My 1994 BMW 525 series is suddenly completely dead. No electrical activity at all. I drove it last night with no problems. Also, I cannot figure out how to get the rear seat up to check the battery.

Re: completely dead

It's pain in the ass simple, although I couldn't figure it out either...pull up hard on the front lip of the seat right where the seat bottom meets the body of the car. There might also be a cover on the passenger side right below the seat bottom, if you pop that off it should be the ground for the battery. Right above that cover is where you should pull up to pop the seat. And the same spot on the other side.

BTW the tolerances in Bimmers are soooooo tight it's a pain in the ass to get the seat back in.
