Hissing When Brake Applied

Couple weeks ago I noticed what sounds like a vacuum leak at the brake pedal. There is also an increase in engine rpm when the brake is applied. Sounds like its inside the booster where the plunger attached to the brake pedal. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTION. CHissOULD THIS BE A BAD BOOSTER????
