'02 Sunfire licence plate lights

While investigating no licence plate lights, I discovered there is no power to that plug in the trunk. Everything else back there has power. Anyone know where licence plate lights get power?

I'd assume they are on the same circuit as the parking lights. Check around for a broken wire or something.

Re: '02 Sunfire licence plate lights

I figured this one out with alittle help from another member who mentioned the Autozone.com web site. Found a schematic that shows the licence plate lights are on a seperate circuit (through the HVAC fuse) and only get power when the ignition switch is "ON" or "RUN". Turns out the bulbs were bad even though they looked OK. Should always start with the obvious.
