Dealer gave me radio code that doesn't work. Now what?

Hi all,

I bought a 3rd hand car. And they don't know what the code is.
I called the original Honda dealer that sold the car to the first hand owner and they told me to bring it in.

I brought it in, they gave me the code, and we tried it, no dice.
They looked around the car, but came up with nothing.

They offered $100 bux to open up the panel and get the serial number.

Can anybody help me out?
