GST to GSTAWD help

Does anyone know anyone who has done the GST conversion to GST awd? Was wondering if anyone would be able to supply some numbers from the track/ dyno numbers.

Thanks

They wont be any different than 2g GSX numbers there big homie. I know of I think 3 guys here that have done the AWD swap to a Spyder, but no GST-AWD guys.

I have a PTE 5162SP turbo. Originally I thought that doing the awd conversion would be great cause i would be able to get so much more power down to the road. I went to my DSM shop and i was told that I would not find any cars running under 12s with that awd conversion setup. The owner of the shop is one of the better DSM/Evo professionals that I know, so i had no reason to doubt him. I have already found someone who did the conversion and was running 9.3 and had about 685whp. Is there anyone else out that who runs real low times and has done the conversion?

Most people I hear who have done the setup are running 16G or similar....but nothing big....

I'm confused as to why he would tell you the setup wouldn't run under the 12s? It uses the same crap from a GSX?

If that were true no GSX could ever run under 12.

Re: GST to GSTAWD help

As long as everything was installed correctly the only thing that would be holding it back is power.

Also, you should note that "professional" implies nothing more than that they do it for a living.... I know tons of "professionals" that couldnt find their ass with both hands tied behind their back when it comes to cars. So, no, your times will be no different than any normal GSX time.

Re: GST to GSTAWD help

The only difference in GS-T and GSX is the AWD and weight right ?

Yes, but if you take the AWD drivetrain and put it in the GST, you'll still come out with the AWD weight.

That and you have to take the rear end from a GSX and put it on your GST. It requires some fabrication and welding IIRC.
