94 astro-top rear door will not unlock
I have a 94 astro with the three rear doors. I have been reading the threads on this problem but have not found the answer. When I unlock the back doors with either the release button up front or with the key in back the right side realeases but the left stays locked. I removed the trim to get at the actuator and everthing seems normal. The plastic collars, as stated on other threads, are still there. When I actuate the open button, the actuator operates and the rods move to open the door. But the left side will not open. How do I get my door open to work on it?

Re: 94 astro-top rear door will not unlock
I know this is an old thread, but I'm in the exact same position. The rods are attached to the actuator in the middle, behind the handle in the middle, but the drivers side latch will not open.
I have no idea what the latch looks like on the left side, so I have no idea how to "snag" it with the rod that goes to it. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated. |
