Synthetics?
How many of you guys are running synthetic lubricants in your trucks? Do you see any differences in temps, or maybe gas mileage?
Thanks. Joe |

Re: Synthetics?
I just put 6 quarts of the new Quaker State Q HP full synthetic in my 4.8L.
Too early to tell a difference but I'll keep posting.

Re: Synthetics?
I run synthetics in the engine, differntial and wheel bearings. I would put it in the transmission if I could get it. Every vehicle I have put it in has gotten better gas milage. I have been running it for at least 20 years and never a problem with anything lubed with it.

Re: Synthetics?
I run Amsoil in both vehicles. I just recently changed both diffs and tranny over to Amsoil as well. Not sure about gas mileage but sure like the extended drain intervals. Taillight, Amsoil makes several different grades of synthetic ATF. Check out their website www.amsoil.com to see what they have to offer.
