97 eclipse gst

new to forum first thread and most likely wont be my last. i recently bought a 97 eclipse gst on the cars dashboard it says only premium gasoline i dont think the previous owners used premium but used plus which i have been using since ive bought it. how important is premium to this car and if not used will affect the way the car runs??

Since your turbo, you need to use atleast 91 octane. You can apply whatever name you want to it such as "premium" or "plus", but look at the octane rating. If it's less than 91, don't put it into your car. It's important. It will affect the way it runs.

Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order.

The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.
