Question FM TWO-WAY Plus Remote Replacement

I have what i believe is a galaxy remote, All it reads is FM TWO-WAY Plus. It is a two way remote and i am trying to replace the broken remote with this one. It has five buttons, a lock and a key on the front, and a trunk, star and C on the side. It has a screen that shows a picture of a green car. I found a manual online to try to get the system to learn the new remote but what i am trying does not work. The manual i have is for a Galaxy 2000rs series. Do i have the wrong manual for this remote?, or the wrong remote for the system all together? If so could you email me the right manual or what kind of remote it really is.

Re: FM TWO-WAY Plus Remote Replacement

There are a lot of systems out there that have remotes that fit that description. Often you will need to find the valet switch to be able to program the remote. Some use a sequency of ignition key cycles with the hood open, etc. If you could post a photo of your remote that might help narrow down the brand, or a sister brand that is likely similar. You can also try to locate the manufacturer by searching for the FCC ID number that should be molded into the remote housing. Or, you can track down the main module and look for a brand name there.

You really will need to know who the manufacturer is before you can get good directions on programming remotes, etc.
