87 mazda B2000 warn ignition?

87 mazda B2000 that shuts off at will meaning the iqnitionswitch is shot and on postion does not keep truck running actually have to hold key in between on and start to keep truck running...intermittent problem becasue sometimes it starts up fine and then you could be driving down the road and it will shut off.....anyone who can help id appreciate it....

Yes, the electrical part of the ignition switch is bad, needs replacement. I had to replace mine about 10 years ago.

i ran a wire from my battery to a toggle switch then to the + side of the coul i only used the key to activate my starter it worked until i replaced my switch
