Life sucks and then you crash your GTO!

Havent been on for a few weeks so I'll spin ya a story right quick.

About a week ago I was walking out of work after pulling a 14 hour shift.
I get to my car and find my driver's side mirror on the floor, the mirror all cracked and broken, the fender is scratched and twisted from head light to door.
Apparently some asshole who cant drive (which is everyone in Miami) parked too close and side swiped my car, fucked up my fender and broke my mirror then took off.

So here I am looking at my car with about 800 bucks worth of damage.
So what do I do? I fucking make it worst.
I take off like a madman pissed off at life. Im hauling ass! I mean HAULING.
I see my turn comming up to get to my house and there is a slow ass old man driving 20 mph in my lane ahead of me. I figure fuck this, I 'll cut him off and swing in front and cut the corner hard.
Yeah except I didnt see that there was a tiny ass accord in front of him who had just made the turn I was about to make so when I swing round I see the bitch and im about to slam into her ass. I had no choice but to yank the wheel and try to swerve. I lost control, overcorrected and slammed head on into the side walk. I nailled the curb dead on and messed up my whole suspension.

Now my car is back from the body shop but I got her up on jack stands waiting to see when the fuck i can repair it. i bent a rim, shredded a tire, bent two swaybar end links, broke a tie rod, stripped a few threads off my radius bar and destroyed the strut top insulator and bearing. Its about 2 grand worth of repairs and I dont exactly have that kind of money laying round under my mattress.

So next week my girl goes back to work, Im stuck taking the bus.

This is the perfect time to take a bad situation and use it as an excuse to make it a cool one...Any chance that the 1LE or maybe Corvette suspension set up could fit in there, and would it have any benefit?

aint that about something. that sucks man. today i found my car with the trunk popped. nothing was taken, since if its worth anything it will be. apparently it was meal replacements and stuff. but, nothing gone. a lot of cars have been broken into at my job at it seems to only be getting worse.

so i feel ya pain.

enjoy the bus, as you should save a little of money from buying gas, by buying a month pass for like 20 bucks. instead of paying 30 a week.

LOL, No I supose those days are gone now. I know I was asking for it and yeah I could of hit that lady in the accord or worst, a pedestrian.

I already ordered the majority of the stuff I need.
I still need to see if the rim can be re-pressed or if I need a new one which is 528 each at the dealer or 325 at GM direct parts.
The Tie-rod is a pain cause apperently they are on nation wide shortage so it might be a few weeks.

As to upgrading Cassies I was all over that till I saw the cost.
Yes the sway bar endlinks are going to be supplied by Energy suspension, all the bushing will be replaced by energy suspension and Noltec. The radius rods are heavy duty Pedder's rods and a few other better then stock parts.
The sway bars did not break or bent so I'll keep em stock and the spring and strut will be stock. If I was to upgrade It be twice as expensive and the factory suspension on the GTO is great stuff from factory already so no biggie.

Life usually goes from bad to worse a lot faster than you expect it. At least the car's salvagable and didn't end up in a pile on a flatbed with you in an ambulance. I have a quick temper too and I've figured out through the years that the last place I need to be when I'm hot is behind the wheel.

yup, that sucks what happend but atleast you didn't hit anyone. no body can sue you =) but feel better, a car can always be repaired or replaced. atleast your not hurt.

he's aving more than 30 bucks a week. 20 a month for the bus. to filla gto tank probably takes near 40 maybe more considering its premium.
my 944 takes upwards of 50, and my stealth a lil below 60

that sucks man...i am wondering if the front end suspension of a vette fits too...

Christ...how much is gas where you cost? I put premium in the BMW, and the most I've ever paid, even when we had price spikes earlier this year, was maybe 45 bucks.

I did the same thing as you (Crashing into a curb). Some fucking dumb bitch was stopped on a sidestreet. She kept creeping and moving forward, at about 1-2mph. I decided fuck this, so I mashed the gas to go around her. She immediately swerved towards my car (Basically she seemed to do it intentionally). I had no choice but to crash into the curb. The fucking bitch then after seeing me crash, waved with her finger no-no. Fucking bitch is lucky I wouldn't hit a woman, cause otherwise I would've curb sided her face.
