Tune up Question.
Quick Question.
When I do a tune up and replace the Wires and plugs, does the Coil pack need to be replaced too like a normal Distributor Cap & Rotor would be or no? (Don't have a manuel to consult )

Re: Tune up Question.
Plugs and wires at about 50,000 or whenever you have a problem. Some go longer and some less. Coils are fine unless you have a problem.

Re: Tune up Question.
50k is a little early for GM vehicles with platinum/Iridium plugs. 75k is about the time to start thinking about it (unless all your driving is short trip, inner city stop-and-go).

Re: Tune up Question.
75K is still early. 100k + , unless you are having difficulty. Uset the OEM plugs and wires. Coil packs replace only when deffective

Re: Tune up Question.
Mine needs it, it's been rapidly becoming sluggish even after a recent oil change and new air filter (the whole 9 yards). I feel like I'm driving a little 4 banger it's gettin so sluggish.

Re: Tune up Question.
Fuel filter may be more critical after 30k.

Re: Tune up Question.
Would It it be a stupid idea for me to do the plugs my self if i do them, or are they fairly accessable on the 3800? (I don't the car right now to see how much clearence there is in the back, so I figure'd I'd ask here).
