elky go old schoool or new?

i have an 84 choo choo SS, and was wondering if i should put the 400 and turbo 350 i got in a 72 c10 i just bought or use a 99 350vortec with a 4l60e. i have the new in it, but it wont run, itll crank but not fire up and idle. i think i might have recieved the wrong wiring harness from painless, but ive had it for 2 yrs before i got this far. any ideas or suggestions? either way ones in the truck and ones in the elky

Re: elky go old schoool or new?

If you plan on keeping the elky then I would stick with the newer engine. If you dont plan to hold on to it then go with the older engine, just for the fact that the older engine will be more appealing to a wider group of perspective buyers.

I'm keeping my elco so I put an 02 LS1 in it. If i wasnt going to hold on to it, I would have put an old 350 in it.
