engine will not run with timing advance wire hookup

92 camaro RS V8 with TPI. Recently changed ignition coil and timing pick up coil. The car engine runs fine when idle and without timing advance wire hook up; when timing advance wire is hooked, engine stalls.

Timing check and set with timing gun.

Trying to find out what the problem is!!!! Computer???? Knock sensor??

It is the ESC, electronic spark control. Unfortunately on the 90-92's the ESC is a part of the Calpak, the module that holds the PROM chip.
