Talking My models from Belgium

Hi,

Following my first thread " Belgian tuning " I present some of my kits.
Sorry for the bad quality of the pics but they were taken in a modeling exhibition ( dark rooms ). I'll send better pictures in a short future.
That's all VW's, sorry but I only realise kits from the Porsche-VW-Audi group.

I'll explain all the components of each car later.

Hope you've enjoyed viewing my kits.

Thumbs up So, you don't like VW's.

Nice collection! I like the two tone van with the 30" woofers, I can just see that canvas roof popping up every time the bass hits!

Question

What are those wheels on that brown Beetle? They look a lot like 3 piece Porsche wheels.

Anyone know if those(or something similar) are available in any aftermarket sets? If they are 18" then I'd like to get a set for my Italeri 993 turbo to replace those awful blobs which came with the kit.

All looking very well done....i'd love a ride in the BOOM VW!!

Just a tip....i think they would look even better if you painted the black around the windows. The silver VW is crying out for it

Talking Thanks

Hi,

Once again, thanks for all your comments.

1°: About the rims of the split-window beetle, they come from a Maisto 1-18 Porsche Boxter. I don't know if it exists in aftermarket but here is a link to a french shop www.tuning18.com where you could find a lot of rims and other accessories 1-18 scale.

2°: About the black around my windows, I know, shame on me . I'm always afraid when I have to paint it. It's the last step before finishing the car and I'm always excited to see it finished.
I'ts why I do a lot of old cars because they don't have it.
I'll try to remove the windows of the new beetle and paint it using masking-tape.

If you want to discover the progress of my latest model , click here http://www.flat4ever.com/modules/new...038&forum=3&19

Sorry it's french, but If you don't understand it's a teardrop trailer that I'm scratch building .

Best regards.

Deedlit

Hi,

I didn't had a lot of time to write something on AF but now it's done.
My technical manager wants me to work but him, I'm on AF and nothing else is important.

Here are some explanations of each models I showed you before:

1° Corrado:
It's an old Revell kit ( 1989 ), the Zender bodykit was in the box.
- Celica WRC air intake molded on the hood
- Pegasus Rims
- Lowering job (off course )
- Bullet mirrors from a Celica WRC
- Seats from the same Celica
- 16' woofer instead of the rear seats

2° New Beetle ( Tamiya 1/24 )
- Filling of logos, door handles , front and rear lights ( in the bumper ) , rain lines on the roof , ...
- Rims from a Porsche 911 Taisan
- Lowering Job
- Double round exhaust
- Seats from a Porsche 911 Cab Italeri

3° Split Window beetle ( 1/16 Revell )
- Rims from a Porsche 911 Boxster ( Maisto 1/16 )
- Seats from a Jaguar XKR ( Maisto 1/16 )
- Steering wheel from the same Boxster
- Carburators and other engine components from a 1/16 Burago Porsche 356B
- Scratch building of the disk brakes

4° VW Bus 23 Windows ( Hasegawa 1/24 )
- Scratch buiding of the 2 woofers, 2 amps and 2 condensors ( sorry for this but I don't know how to call this in english ).
- NOS kit behind the left seat ( scratch buildt )
- BMW M3 seats
- Dashboard from a Porsche 911 Cab ( Italeri )
- Mirrors molded on the sides ( same 911 Cab )
- 16' Fuch rims from an old Porsche kit ( I don't know anymore where it comes from )

5° VW Delivery Bus ( Hasegawa 1/24)
- 18' Ruff rims from Fujimi
- American bumpers ( transformed from the original european bumpers )
- 3 tones flaming ( yes , 3 tones , the end of the flames are green )
- New beetle seats

Here is my contribution for today.
If you need more infos I'm most of time online .

Bye

Deedlit
