Break power booster replacement
I am dealing with a brake problem and was told by firestone that the booster needed to be replaced. I have 1997 Suburban 4wd 350. I do not have the Hydro boost and was wondering how difficult the boost is to replace. I would like to save the money and do it myself. I have looked at other post regarding this and there are no details on how difficult this process will be. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Break power booster replacement
Remove 2 nuts holding the master cylinder. From inside remove 4 nuts holding the booster. Install in reverse.

Re: Break power booster replacement
Wow it is that simple. Nothing needs to be disconnected from the sterring or anything? Should i bleed the breaks when I am done?

You will also need to remove the stop light switch from the brake pedal to remove the pushrod from the pedal. I hope you're sure the booster is at fault and not the Master Cylinder Maybe you could give us some more detailed info as to what's happening with your brake system.
