guys, I really need your experience.
I think some of you saw my last post about the drawback of hlj......the fact is that I have waited for 11 days from received their shipping notice, and my stuff has not ever shown up at my home......I have the following question: 1) does it take so long by SAL-small pac? I saw some people here saying they only waited for 3 days, and got the stuff from HLJ to US. 2) I am in HK, and it should not take 11 days from Japan to HK. This sounds to crazy for me. This is my first time purchasing stuff from HLJ......and does NOT IMPRESS ME AT ALL...... I got the following notice from them on November 8, 2002: Shipped on 08/11/2002 by SAL - Small Pac This message it to let you know that the following merchandise has been shipped to you from HobbyLink Japan. Your order was shipped via: SAL - Small Pac   :cwn27:

You know they say SAL usually takes 2-3, even more sometimes, weeks to get to you. Probably wait one more week, if not start emailing them after a month has past that you havent gotten it.

well, the reason it takes only 3 days to get to US is cause they only ship it UPS to US. SAL takes a little longer. you should probably expect it by the end of next week. well, that's just my guess.

I ordered from Hobbyplace and used EMS. They sent it out on Nov 2nd and I got it on the 7th (I think, a monday). Holy cow...
If it werent for the weekend, it could've been faster. EMS costs a lot though... $26 shipping charge for 10 sets of wheels.

Between US and Japan, SAL "usually" takes 10 - 14 business days, depending on how busy the traffic is. And you get 3 - 4 days with SAL only when you are lucky. I don't know the frequency of flight between JPN and HK compared to JPN and US, but 2 weeks for SAL (2nd class air) is reasonable.
If it fits the small packet, it wouldn't cost much if it was sent by EMS (should be about 1500 yen), and that's very fast. |
