Thumbs up Good photo's of the system

Installed one last weekend. We got some good shots of the system installed, weld points, and mounting points.

Here they are...

I like it just for the fact that it points off to the side rather than straight back...might reduce the chances of it getting Mosi'd.

I believe it's listed on the Nissan site under Xterra accessories.

Last I checked aluminum doesn't rust. But many people who bought stainless steel mufflers for their trucks got rust in less than a year.

The aluminum front hubs on my 2002 SE are oxidized already (the white crusty stuff). Aluminum oxidizes faster, especially in the presence of salt, and penetrates deeper. (The front hubs on my Bronco II got so bad they wouldn't engage and finally just disintegrated...over 5 years).

I have a stainless syatem on my Vette. Like everything, it depends on quality...304, 314, whatever SS you get, it's still steel, and will eventually corrode. You need a high percentage of nickel to reduce corrosion. Some cheap SS will rust; some is magnetic; etc. The good stuff lasts a long time. Borla uses good SS; as does Ravin.

You get what you pay for...

Ok, I see you're in Buffalo as well, so point taken. It was the Gibson exhausts everyone was going on about. After reading the posts again, it seems like it was surface rust.

I'll probably have a cat-back made up. I'd rather push the last tube out the side. (Behind the rear wheel).

...With a *big* tip!...

Uh, part numbers are at the top of this thread...

Nissanparts.cc still shows it in stock:

Re: Nissan stainless sport cat-back

FYI, digging through my old files, I found the original announcement and I've edited the part numbers for the Xterra items to be correct:
