Lotus 101 transkit

This is a 1/20 Lotus 101 Judd, built from a Japanese curbside transkit. Took me almost half a year on-and-off to complete... Made some scratched modifications, but it's a very basic kit overall.

Please click on the thumbs...

Re: Lotus 101 transkit

Nice job! If I'm not mistaken that transkit was made in the early to mid 90's?

Yes, I think so. There were several "Nakajima collections" by the usual Japanese "Garage kit" makers...

Re: Lotus 101 transkit

Fantastic work Steffen. Is it based on the Tamiya 102 or a stand alone kit?

Also congratulations on your superb 107C, just it found exploring your website. It's great to see you went ahead and finished that after us discussing it on SRC all those years ago!

Thanks, Phil!

The 101 consisted mainly of a resin body and suspension, engine, rear wing etc. from a Tamiya 102B.

And yes, I went ahead with that 107C, but it took me about 2 years to finish this project. Main problem was lack of reference pictures. But now I have a collection of strange Japanese F1 magazines
