2000 Malibu brake light comes on
I am have a problem with a 2000 chevy Malibu. The brake light will come on and the running lights will not work. So I thought the praking brake was on but it wasn't. Also when the car is drove down the road the brake will go on and off every so often.

Check the fuse on the driver side for the stop light also check the one on the front under the hood for the Abs and the running light meaning the headlight. check the fuses but wait.... Pump about 6 times the parking brake then change from park to gear see if the head light come on.

I have a 1998 Malibu and Im having the same problem. The brake light on the dash board will come on every time I make a right turn. I have checked both the fuses that are listed above. What do you think I can do?

Have you checked the brake fluid level at the reservoir? If it's too low it will trigger the brake light to let you know about it. Hope it helps!
