200r4 to 700r4 swap
It's out with the 200r4 that came in my '87 Caprice and in with a 700r4. I went to the junkyard and found a couple Caprice wagons (an '85 and an '86). I got the driveline and the crossmember. Anything else I will need for this swap? Thanks.

The reason? An 8.5" axle puts the yoke about an inch closer to the transmission, requiring a 1" shorter driveshaft than the 7.5", all else being equal.
