Post Dodge Grand Caravan stalls! HELP!

My 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3 liter keeps stalling at traffic lights, stop signs, etc. This started happening right after I replaced the ac compressor (ac works fine). I have replaced the spark plugs and spark cables. Service light does not come on when this happens. The cruise light comes on before it's going to shut off. It does start up right away after stalling. It seems to want to shut off coasting down a hill at 40 mph but given a little gas it stays on. Any suggestions?

check fuel pressure. Clean throttle body. Look for any hoses off or cracked.

Re: Dodge Grand Caravan stalls! HELP!

taillight has you on the right track. SE light or no SE light, swing by the closest Autozone and have them connect a scanner and check for error codes. It's free.

The IAC or idle air control valve does what it's name implies. It's located in the throttle body where that big black air inlet duct connects over the engine. It has a small pintle that opens and closes a tiny port in the throttle body. This port allows airflow past the throttle plate to regulate idle speed. This port can get clogged or the pintle bind, giving you headaches. There are several other things that could cause this. The EGR system for one.

Suggest you buy a maintenance manual. Haynes or Chiltons will do if they are publishing them. Alldata.com or Mitchells factory manuals are best. Subscribe for $15.

Thanks for the added info in the edit.
