05 malibu power steering light?

I'm getting the power steering fluid text coming across, how n where do I replace it?? I've heard from my mother its something I have to take the dealer. 2005 malibu

You don't have a power steering pump or fluid with your malibu. You have electric assist power steering. Sitting behind the wheel, reach up under the dash with your left hand and you will feel the electric motor sticking out to the left that 'powers' the steering. There is some wiring and circuit boards up in there that can get jostled by your feet. Make sure everything is plugged in.
