Boost Test

Today i just did a boost test and i filled it up arround 10 psi or so and i was hearing a leak arround where the throrttle area i sprayed soapy water and it was bubbleing there. and looks like where a vacume hose is supposed to be hooked up to the the fuel injection in the back air was being blown out of during the test. along with the hks blow off valve there was a little leak coming from the bolt in the back of the hsk what i really dont know what that bolt is for it looks like an ajustment. the idle was going up and down

Re: Boost Test

no the air is not supposed to come out of the BISS. It is a common place for boost leaks. If I was you I would set the BISS to the level you want to and then fill in the area with some silicone to seal it off. Its nothing permanent but it will keep the air in.

Re: Boost Test

thats another common leak. the seals on the throttle shaft leak air out. its not a difficult fix. just buy new seals and follow the vfaq. here is the link if you have a 91-94 http://www.plymouthlaser.com/tbor.htm

here is the link if you have a 90 http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/show...ttle+body+seal

look at both vfaqs
