intermittent electrical problems '97 Blazer

I own a '97 Blazer that has all the gizmos on it. Recently, the ABS light has come on and stayed on. It will, however, go out at times. I realize that this is an issue with the ABS system, but that is not my major concern. While the ABS light is on...and only when it's on...some accessories do not work. The windows will not go up or down, and my A/C will not work. When the light is out, everything works fine. What in the world can thie problem be? I'm frustrated and at my wits end with this one.....HELP!

This sounds like a loose ground wire. I seem to remember a ground wire coming from the ABS unit and bolting to the frame somewhere. I think there is a Ground wire terminal behind the driver's head light near the radiator frame. They will get loose and rusty.

when you turn the key to the start position it kills all lights and accessories except the ABS light to cut out all accesorie current draw while the starter kicks the engine over. if the key doesnt spring all the way back to the run postion the assecories like the dash lights, radio, fan and windows wont function. try manualy rotating the key switch back to the run position next time it happens.

Ignition switch failure is a known issue on '97, sounds like it could be the problem with yours too.
