Came home the other morning forgot and left the lights on. Tried to jump it in the dark no luck so put on the battery charger but nothing no lights, dash lights or anything. Battery reads 13.67 volts at the battery and at the starter. Any tips??

Found it was a yellow 60a fuse close to the battery.

Re: Metro dead??

just had one go out on me today when i accidently shorted out a line during an alternator change. i tried to start the car after the change and ....nothing ...took a few minutes to track it down. since i didn't have a spare on hand, i bent the burned contacts together and started the car ... then replaced it later.

Re: Metro dead??

Exactly where is this 60 amp fuse you found?

I'd like to know because I may fall prey to it one day...

I didn't know of such a fuse!

If you could take a photo - that would be nice........

Re: Metro dead??

there are 3 or 4 oversize fuses right next to the battery under a black pastic cover. you can pull out the 30 and 40 amp fuses but the 60 amp you have to remove a screw and wire from each side to replace it. depending on year of car location changes but generally they are next to or slightly behind the battery mounted to the inner fender under a black cover

Re: Metro dead??

hi kelly,
i have a '91 and your's might not be the same ..... but the fuse sizes are printed on the outside of the box .... and mine are l-r .... 60, 40, 30, 30.
if someone has replaced with all 60's and they are larger than specified, i'd replace them with the proper sizes.
