Sen Craigs gay tendenacies have been a well known rumor here in Idaho for years. I understand that most politicians will say anything to get elected. But I despise conservatives like this Craig (or David Vitter or Mark Foley, if you prefer) more than most. If you're going to be gay, be gay. But don't preach your judgemental bullshit and pass legislation to restrict the rights of gays while sucking d*cks in your spare time. And it's not even straightforward, repectable homosexuality- it's deviant, perverted sex in bathrooms, with underaged boys or male prostitutes. These people are human garbage.

More to do with the scope of their hypocrisy as individuals than their orientation. Remember, good old David Vitter was a STRAIGHT Republican who cheated on his wife with high priced FEMALE hookers . A fraud is a fraud no matter the sexual or political orientation. Craig and Foley are just very ironic frauds. The fact that they have all utterly and flagrantly betrayed the trust and snubbed the values of true conservative Americans who elected them makes them garbage.

Usually when someone is so vocal and publicly insistent to the point of paranoia they are not a homosexual, they are gay as Christmas.

The more I hear as this story develops, the more I have to laugh. Now accusing the police officer during the taped interrogation of imagining something that did not happen- namely the Senator gesturing under the stall with his hand. The man is struggling in quicksand and his party is running in the opposite direction. Gayness is Republican kryptonite.

I'm starting to feel bad for the Republicans who still believe in honesty, morality and conservative values. They're getting screwed (hopefully only figuratively) up, down and sideways.

Why? A few bad apples do not reflect what the Republican Party and conservative values are really about. Blinded by your liberalism and one-sided support for the Democratic Party? Only a week ago Hsu was in San Francisco raising money for Democratic politicians. But all that ended this week when the Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times raised questions about his fundraising activities and his past.

Starting in 2003, Hsu became a major donor to Democratic politicians, giving $255,000 directly to Democrats running for federal office and hundreds of thousands more to state and local politicians, from California to New York.

Hsu became one of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's most reliable fundraisers, donating $22,300 directly to the New York Democrat's campaigns over the years and raising more than $100,000 from friends and business associates for her presidential bid.

In recent days, Clinton and other politicians have disgorged money donated by Hsu, giving it to charity. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), Clinton's main rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, was among those who donated what Hsu had given him -- $7,000.

Aug. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Norman Hsu, a Democratic fundraiser wanted for fraud, turned himself in to California authorities and was released after posting bail, his lawyer said.

``Mr. Hsu has pledged to deal forthrightly with this 15-year-old legal issue,'' the lawyer, Jim Brosnahan, said in a statement today. ``He is hopeful that the matter will be resolved shortly to everyone's satisfaction.''

New York Senator Hillary Clinton is donating $23,000 to charity to offset political contributions she received from Hsu, her spokesman Phil Singer said yesterday. Illinois Senator Barack Obama donated the $7,000 his senate campaign and his Hopefund political action committee received from Hsu to charity, according to spokesman Ben LaBolt.

Hsu, a New York businessman, was charged with grand theft in 1991, entered a no-contest plea to the charge and then failed to appear for sentencing, the Los Angeles Times reported Aug. 29. He voluntarily turned himself this morning in San Mateo, California, Courthouse, Brosnahan said.

The U.S. Justice Department is investigating Hsu for illegally reimbursing others for making hundreds of thousands of dollars in political contributions, the Wall Street Journal reported today, citing unidentified people familiar with the investigation. Hsu reimbursed a family for making $225,000 in donations to Democratic candidates, the Journal said.

`Not Surprising'

``It's not surprising that the Justice Department opens an investigation to chase the story written in the Wall Street Journal,'' Hsu's Washington lawyer, E. Lawrence Barcella, said in an interview.

``As far as campaign contribution aspects of that story, they are not only,'' he said, ``unproven allegations and innuendo but strongly denied by all the parties.''

Barcella said he had no knowledge of such a probe independent of the Journal's report.

Justice Department spokesman Bryan Sierra declined to comment.

Attention focused on Hsu after the Wall Street Journal on Aug. 28 reported his connection to a California family with no obvious signs of wealth that donated a combined $200,000 to Democratic candidates. The donations by the Paw family included $45,000 to Clinton, the Journal said.

You're assuming I'm a Republican or a true Conservative. I'm not a member of either party. You're way off base. I'm a Moderate and in the last election to include previous voted Republican and Democrat based on the best candidate for the job. I even voted for Bill Clinton back in the 90s. Before that apolitical due to my service in the U.S. Armed Forces. Better to show compassion and/or pity for yourself and your narrow minded views. And it figures. No allegiance. Nicholas Mavroules - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Massachusetts from 1979 to 1993. Pleaded guilty to charges of tax fraud and accepting gratuities while in office.

Carl Christopher Perkins - Democrat - Kentucky State House of Representatives from 1981 to 1984 and U.S. Representative from Kentucky from 1985 to 1993. Pleaded guilty to bank fraud in connection with the House banking scandal. Perkins wrote overdrafts totaling about $300,000. Pleaded guilty to charges of filing false statements with the Federal Election Commission and false financial disclosure reports. Sentenced to 21 months in prison.

Richard Hanna - Democrat - U.S. Representative from California from 1963 to 1974. Received payments of about $200,000 from a Korean businessman in what became known as the "Koreagate" influence buying scandal. Pleaded guilty and sentenced to federal prison.

Angelo Errichetti - Democrat - New Jersey State Senator was sentenced to six years in prison and fined $40,000 for his involvement in Abscam.

Daniel Baugh Brewster - Democrat - U.S. Senator from Maryland. Indicted on charges of accepting illegal gratuity while in Senate.

Thomas Joseph Dodd - Democrat - U.S. Senator from Connecticut. Censured by the Senate for financial improprieties, having diverted $116,000 in campaign and testimonial funds to his own use

Edward Fretwell Prichard, Jr. - Democrat - Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Kentucky. Convicted of vote fraud in federal court in connection with ballot-box stuffing. Served five months in prison.

Jerry Springer - Democrat - Resigned from Cincinnati City Council in 1974 after admitting to paying a prostitute with a personal check, which was found in a police raid on a massage parlor.

Guy Hamilton Jones, Sr. - Democrat -Arkansas State Senate. Convicted on federal tax charges and expelled from the Arkansas Senate.

Daniel Flood - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania from 1945 to 1947, 1949 to 1953 and 1955 to 1980. Pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge involving payoffs and sentenced to probation.

Otto Kerner, Jr - Democrat - Governor of Illinois from 1961 to 1968. While serving as Governor, he and another official made a gain of over $300,000 in a stock deal. Convicted on 17 counts of bribery, conspiracy, perjury, and related charges. Sentenced to three years in federal prison and fined $50,000.

George Crockett, Jr. - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Michigan. Served four months in federal prison for contempt of court following his defense of a Communist leader on trial for advocating the overthrow of the government.

Cornelius Edward Gallagher - Democrat - U.S. Representative from New Jersey from 1959 to 1973. Indicted on federal charges of income tax evasion, conspiracy, and perjury

Mark B. Jimenez - Democrat fundraiser - sentenced to 27 months in prison on charges of tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the United States and commit election financing offenses.

Bobby Lee Rush - Democrat - U.S. Representative from Illinois. As a Black Panther, spent six months in prison on a weapons charge.

Bolley ''Bo'' Johnson - Democrat - Former Florida House Speaker - received a two-year term for tax evasion.

Roger L. Green - Democrat - Brooklyn Democrat Assemblyman. Pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for accepting travel reimbursement for trips he did not pay for and was sentenced to fines and probation.

Gloria Davis - Democrat - Bronx assemblywoman. Pleaded guilty to second-degree bribe-taking.

False. True hypocrisy on my part would be enlisting in the military to support a war I strongly oppose, orchestrated by a man I have no respect for. And I find it written nowhere that military service is required to participate in our society. If this were true, the majority of Americans would have no voice- so I reject your point. You can't place conditions on participation, Bob. Republicans do such things (homosexuals, immigrants, etc.) and you are not a Republican. Are you? And as far as my personal record, character and contributions are concerned- I would gladly provide you any information you desire in private. You can verify and report back to the group if you like. But again, my personal record has little to do with an airport blowjob or a floundering Republican Party...

That's quite a list. Sure Democrats have their share of assholes. But the actual point of this whole thread (before we went off on a tangent) is that the foundation of the Republican Party is crumbling, if it still exists at all. One definition:

"The term "Republican" emphasizes devotion to the ideals of republicanism. The word "republican" was used to describe the new nation's political values, especially its devotion to opposition to corruption, elitism, and monarchies"

Others claim Republicans uphold the so-called "founding Christian principles" of this nation.

So- to devote your life to the service of the Republican Party and the principles upon which it stands- (as the man/ men in question have done), to win election on these principles, then turn around and do the contrary, is despicable.

When you explicitly claim to stand for opposition to corruption, then take the top 11 spots out of 13 on the "Most Corrupt" list...

When you claim to deride elitism, then hand more power to the rich...

When you claim to oppose monarchy while taking basic rights from the people...

when you claim to stand for Christian values and vote for anti-gay legislation, then get caught soliciting gay sex or sexually harrassing male interns...

These are the worst type of people I can think of. THESE are the people with no allegiance, no character, not a bone in their bodies worth a damn. FRAUDS. Their lives are a lie.

Conversely, here is a definition of the aims of the Democratic Party:

"The common thread of Democratic history, from Thomas Jefferson to Bill Clinton, has been an abiding faith in the judgment of hardworking American families, and a commitment to helping the excluded, the disenfranchised and the poor strengthen our nation by earning themselves a piece of the American Dream. We remember that this great land was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren."

So here's the rub. Corrupt Democrats are corrupt people- true. They are not violating the most sacred principles for which they claim to stand. They are dissappointing their party and their constituents, but not necessarily betraying the party's most inviolable doctrines. It is labeled the "party of the common man". The guy who fucks up, the one who may cheat, or give a blowjob in the airport, if you like...

Call it a loophole.
