No Climate Control At All!

i have a 1994 olds 88 royale. a couple months back, my eintire climate control panal (ac/rear defrost, blower) all went out. nothing works on the panal except for the switch to move from floor to defrost etc....

for a while, all i had to do was smack the dash board and it would start working again, but now it wont work at all. i have gone over all the fuses and they are good.

i have just heard of the blower control module? i am thinking about looking for that, but i dont know where it is.

anyone have any ideas? Please?

Re: No Climate Control At All!

I've been searching through threads trying to find out how these AC/Heating systems work. So far these links have been helpful:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=419903

http://www.imcool.com/articles/airco...acuum_line.php

http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm

My issue is that I can't get air to fully switch to defrost. Also, seems to be hard to get the heat to fully shut off. Thinking I have a vacuum problem of some kind.

Re: No Climate Control At All!

Several mechanics told me the climate control module OFTEN fail. but the more I'm reading, I suspect defective wiring to be involved in a large percentage of cases. I suggest you start by checking out your wiring. Just typing the ACDELCO PARTNUMBER in Google will likely spot a few vendors of replacement parts. If your wiring is burned or loose, changing the module is a waste of time and money.
