Cobalt SS Shift knob

How do I remove my 2007 Cobalt SS shift nob. I can't figure it out. I want to put an after market nob on?

HELP!

just the shift nob? Now the whole shifter like a shorter throw? Just take a screw driver and pry up the gear display, unscrew the screw and with a bit of force pull.pry off the knob
