Valve cover gasket
I was told by a shop that my valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. he told me not go cheap and get the right one. Seems like all the brands i found are all around 10-15 bucks. Are they all the same? Does AC Delco make a replacement? Also, does anybody know the correct torque for the bolts on the head?

Re: Valve cover gasket
assuming you have the 2.2 liter the valve cover bolts get torqued at 89 inch pounds, the actual head bolts however are different, the short ones get torqued to 43 foot pounds, and the long ones 46 foot pounds, plus with the head bolts after torquing you should tighten and additional 90 degress, not sure which bolts you're talking about exactly....
as far as brand names go, i dont know what the difference would be, its just a valve cover gasket, just be sure to clean both surfaces really good and use an RTV type sealent
