1994 c/k Stop Light Switch Location

Hello all,

I'm trying to locate the stop light switch on my truck. I have to tap into the yellow wire for trailer brakes. Can someone tell me the location of this switch? I found a plug attached to the rod running from the brake pedal thru the firewall. Is this the switch?

Thanks in advance

Re: 1994 c/k Stop Light Switch Location

The stop light switch is on brake pedal
But the best place to tap it would be were it goes into the turn signal switch on the steering column.

If your are using it for electric trailer brakes you will need to feed it threw a relay or trailer brake unit to have the amp and voltage to work electric trailer brakes.
