89 Grand Prix Auto Trans adjustment

Is there any way to adjust the bands on a 1989 Grand prix transmission ? 3.1 mpi.

Any specs page on adjustment,s , links etc....

No kidding , I was hoping to adjust the bands.

The transmission is starting to slip between 1st and 2nd , any possible cause's issues ,with this years transmission .

Would a new modulator valve help etc....

A new mod can help a sloppy 1-2. Its worth a shot anyway unless ofcouse its realy slipping bad.

is an excellent mod and is adjustable but you need a pressure gauge to adjust it.

Update to this post.

Initially said it was the 1st to 2nd gear slip .

Turned out to be 2nd to 3rd , changed fluid and filter , helped a while . Used some lucas trans additive .

Trans is slipping 2nd to 3rd , when you shift manually 1st to 2nd is fine , 2nd to 3rd has a sligh slip if you stay on the gas . Does not slip as bad as in Auto mode.

Can anyrhing be done , would the modulator help or is this trans on its way out ?
