Strange Electrical Problem

I just happened...
doors and windows don't work & stuck in locked position, but trunk is unlocked - careful could get locked in!!!
car starts and engine runs fine
lights and blinkers are OK
OBC dead, radio dead, elec. seats dead, associated fuses OK
cycled power on the battery, no effect
visually checked all fuses, look ok
removed, cleaned and replaced relays - no effect
visually checked CCM module, looks ok (not elec. test)

Anybody have any ideas?

Have you checked the fuses in the Rear Power Distribution Box under (of course ) your left rear passenger seat. Specifically numbers 31,33, 40,42,43, and 44?

Thanks for the reply... I have not got under the back seat yet. I have to crawl over the front seats to get there since only the front passenger door opens. I'll try that and let you know.

I may have found the problem - the "fusible link B". There were so many elements that went out simultaneously.

I had checked and cleaned all the fuses - OK. I removed the relay module and general module, disassembpled and inspected - look OK. Put everything back together and applied power - still out. While working around the rear seat element, I check the voltage going to the group of fuses coming off the fusable link (ele-28 of Bentley repair manual). While moving around this area the fault cleared itself.

I plan on replacing the fusible link.

This is an old post, but I did not update the final outcome.

The problem just started by the radio losing power, reconnecting and requiring the security code. It gradually increased to where a lot of electronics started to fail.

It was the connection to the battery! The 735iL has two connections, one for starter motor and one to run the majority of the electronics. The electronics battery connection had come loose making an intermittent connection - dropping the voltage to the electronics where some worked and others did not work. Properly securing the battery and terminals solved the problem.

A cheap fix, but an SOB to find.
