MY 1997 EXPLORER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT,FRONT END. rACK AND PINION DESTROTED AND AFTER THAT WAS FIXED NOW ONCE IN A WHILE MY ABS WILL KICK IN WHEN I AM ALMOST STOPPED. I PUT A NEW SENSOR IN ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE ITS BETTR BUT NOT GONE. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM? THE ABS LIGHT GOES ON AT START UP AND GOES OFF AFTER A FEW SECONDS AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO PROBLEM IN STOPPING.

Re: Abs
If in a wreck, I would start by looking for a possibly pinched, chaffed, shorted wire(s), for that particular sensor. Follow harness as close to ABS module as you can, but pay particular attention to side where it was hit at. Was steering knuckle replaced as well?
