Need advice on what to do next. Video clip inside.
So i got this car at a really great deal and i need to know 1 thing in particular.
There is a huge knock, here is a sample clip of motor idling, and a sample of the motor being revved, basically i wanna know if i can tear the top of this motor apart and fix this problem myself or should i look into getting a new used motor and just swap them. If there is a chance this can be done myself i would rather go that route so i know whats going on with this motor and have confidence as opposed to getting a strange motor from the yard. This motor has 100k on it so i think i can get more life out of it. Thanks for any and all comments or advice. Here is a link to the video of my Dodge Intrepid Idling at first and then i rev it up a few times. car-dodgeknockidlerev.avi - 4.18MB |

I tried to run your clip 2 times. Both times it locked up my computer and I had to shut my computer off to get out of it. If other people had the same problem you may never get a reply.
